Dear readers,

It is with great pleasure that I present the first issue of Hepatology Forum, the official journal of the Turkish Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL). Hepatology Forum is an open-access electronic journal that will be published three times a year to help promote hepatological research worldwide. We will publish basic and clinical research from the fields of molecular and clinical hepatology and liver transplantation. 

Hepatology Forum will publish original papers, reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor concerned with basic and clinical research in the field of hepatology. Hepatology Forum will provide a forum for researchers to exchange ideas, knowledge, and experience on current issues and bring together the views and professional work of researches and academicians. Hepatology Forum will publish high-quality articles. All articles are assigned a DOI number. Submission to Hepatology Forum is free of charge.         

The success of Hepatology Forum will depend on the quality of the articles and a fast and well-organized review system. I truly guarantee that the editorial board members are open-minded and dedicated to putting sustained, considerable effort into rigorous peer-review without bias in order to augment the quality of the submissions. All of the articles to be published will be selected based on the originality and the quality of the work described.
