Aims & Scope

Hepatology Forum (HF) is the double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, international official journal of Turkish Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL). Yearly four issues of the journal are being published (January, April, July, October). The journals publication language is English.

The Hepatology Forum aims to publish original articles, review articles, editorials, case reports and correspondence (letters to the editor) on clinical and basic research in the field of hepatology.

All manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system, which is available both at www.hepatologyforum.com and www.hepatologyforum.org. All articles published by Hepatology Forum are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. The journal technical information, required forms and instructions to authors are available on the journal's web page. Processing and publication are free of charge with the journal.

The journal is in agreement with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice). The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), National Information Standards Organization (NISO) and European Association of Science Editors (EASE).

Statements or opinions expressed published in the journal reflect the views of the author(s) and not the opinions of the TASL, editors, editorial board, and/or publisher; the editors, editorial board, and publisher disclaim any responsibility or liability for such materials.

All expenses of the journal are covered by the TASL. Potential advertisers should contact the Editorial Office. While advertisements are crucial to this journal, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear. Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication and the editorial board has the final approval over the content of all advertisements.

TASL is the owner of the Hepatology Forum's name and copyright holder of all published content transferred by authors. The content can be used as a reference in scientific publications and presentations. Except these conditions, permissions for re-use of manuscripts and images should be obtained from Turkish Association for the Study of the Liver.
